Scottish Appropriate Adult Network: FOI release
Information requested
The Scottish Appropriate Adult Network's Annual report from the last 2 years (19/20 and 20/21) 21/22 if that has been collated.
Response
I enclose a copy of one of the documents you requested, namely the SAAN Annual Report 2019-20. An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to a small amount of the information in the requested documents because it is personal data of a third party - names of individuals - and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. Our aim is to provide information whenever possible, but in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the Annual Reports you requested from 2020-21 or 2021-22. You may wish to contact COSLA directly, who may be able to help you. (Appropriate Adult Services | COSLA) About FOI
