Information requested

The cost spent to date on developing plans for the proposed 15 GP walk-in clinics. Any briefing documents presented to the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care and/or the First Minister on the planned GP walk-in clinics since 1 January 2025. A list of the locations that are under consideration to host a GP walk-in clinic.

The cost spent to date on developing plans for the proposed 15 GP walk-in clinics

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. This is because Scottish Government officials work on a wide range of policies and do not record the time spent on any particular aspect.

Any briefing documents presented to the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care and/or the First Minister on the planned GP walk-in clinics since 1 January 2025

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the information you have requested because an exemption under section 30(b) (free and frank provision of advice or exchange of views) of FOISA applies to that information. Information is exempt under sections 30(b) if disclosure would, or would be likely to, inhibit substantially the free and frank provision of advice. This exemption is subject to the 'public interest test'. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.

An exemption under section s.38(1) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. Some details have been withheld under this exemption which relates to the release of personal data.

A list of the locations that are under consideration to host a GP walk-in clinic

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the information you have requested because exemptions under section 29(1)(a) (formulation or development of government policy). This exemption applies as the information within scope pertains to future development of the policy. This exemption is subject to the 'public interest test'. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
