Meetings of Statutory Guidance Reference Group (SGRG): FOI release
Information requested
All minutes/notes/summaries of all meetings of the Statutory Guidance Reference Group (SGRG), also referred to as the Statutory Guidance Framework Group.
The SGRG was a short life working group established in October 2017 to provide advice on the proposed framework and content of the Statutory Guidance to support delivery of Parts 4 and 5 of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
Response
The Statutory Guidance Framework Group included stakeholders from health, education, third sector and local authorities and meetings were held in an interactive format where members of the group would review the framework and its contents which created the statutory guidance framework document.
The annexes to this letter contain the information requested from the 3 Statutory Guidance Group meetings including a copy of final report. Following the production of the final report, the group concluded its work and was brought to a close. The attached Documents A – C are summarised in the table below.

Reasons for not providing information
An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to a small amount of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party, i.e. names of individuals, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998. This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
