Parliamentary Committees overviewing performance of Scottish Government Departments: FOI release
Information requested
1. With my original FOI having a price tag of £600 please send me a complete breakdown of this cost. I trust this will be easy as the breakdown must exist to allow the final price to be determined.
2. Please tell me which Parliamentary Committee would overview the behaviour of the Scottish Government Departments
Response
1. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. This is because we are not required to make an estimate in cases which would require a search across the whole of the Scottish Government, as the cost has already been established in previous cases, for instance the Scottish Information Commissioner's Decision 162/2012, available at: http://itspublicknowledge.info/ApplicationsandDecisions/Decisions/2012/201201429.aspx
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
2. The Parliamentary Committee which oversees the behaviour of Scottish Government departments is dependent on the issue in question. For example, if the issue concerned a matter on education, the correct committee would be the Education and Skills Committee. If the matter is of a more generic nature, then the relevant committee would be either the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee or the Public Audit and Post-legislative Scrutiny Committee. Information on each is available via these web links:
http://www.parliament.scot/parliamentarybusiness/CurrentCommittees/standards-committee.aspx
http://www.parliament.scot/parliamentarybusiness/CurrentCommittees/public-audit-committee.aspx
You also asked for contact details of the Directorate for Communications, Ministerial Support & Facilities. These were given to you in our response of 10 November 2017.
