Information requested

Please provide clarification on the current status of Scottish Government regulations, guidance or policy relating to palliative and end-of-life care, specifically in relation to “Rapid Transfer Home in the Last Days of Life”.

In particular, I would be grateful if you could confirm:

1. Whether the guidance or regulations currently published by the Scottish Government on this matter remain in force. 2. If any changes have been made to the relevant policy, guidance or regulatory framework in the past five years. 3. If changes have been made, the dates on which these changes took effect and copies of any updated guidance or circulars issued to Health Boards or local authorities.

Responsibility for updating and maintained this guidance lies with Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS), as part of the Scottish Palliative Care Guidelines, however this particular guidance has not been updated in the last five years.
