Information requested

The grant offer letters for the organisations that received funding under the LGBT section of the Equality and Human Rights Fund, starting from 01 April 2026. Please also provide any applications for this funding submitted by these organisations.

Response

I enclose a copy of the information you requested in respect of the following LGBT organisations:

LGBT Youth Equality Network LEAP Sports Scotland Stonewall Scotland Health and Wellbeing

For each of the listed organisations I have included copies of their grant offer letters for 26/27.

I have interpreted your request for "applications for this funding" to refer to information provided when seeking their 26/27 grants rather than the application forms submitted in 2021 when the Equality and Human Rights Fund opened initially. I have therefore included a copies of the forms submitted for 26/27 funding.

An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to some of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party, ie names/contact details of individuals, and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018. This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
