Information requested
All agendas and minutes of the Scottish Cosmetic Interventions Expert Group (SCIEG) from its formation to the date of this request.
Response
SCIEG was first established as a time-limited group (January 2014-February 2015) to explore the need for introducing regulation to cosmetic procedures in Scotland following the publication of the Keogh Review in 2013. This is referred to as Phase One. Between 2017 and 2022 SCIEG members met to review the regulation of non-surgical cosmetic procedures. This is referred to as Phase Two. SCIEG was formally reconvened in November 2023 following analysis of the Scottish Government’s 2020 consultation on the regulation of non-surgical cosmetic procedures. This is referred to as the current SCIEG. It last convened in May 2025.
