Police Remedial Service Statements (RSS): FOI release
Information requested
On 27th on January 2025, you responded to a FOI request sent in by me. In your response you stated that approximately 5000 Officers were yet to be sent their RSS in relation to the McCloud remedy.
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide me with the following information.
1. Of the “approximately 5000” Officers who were yet to receive the RSS on 27th January 2025, how many have now been sent their RSS to date.
2. How many of those sent out since 27th January 2025 have been to
a. Fully protected officers
b. Tapered Officers who never went on to CARE scheme pension prior to retirement.
c. Officers who were Tapered and found themselves forced into the 2015 CARE scheme.
Response
1. As of 03 April 2025, 2,853 RSS have been issued to Officers.
2a. 2,853 RSS have been sent to protected officers.
2b. 0 RSS have been sent.
2c. 0 RSS have been sent.
