The 2024-25 annual accounts will be available on the Companies House website in due course, following the end of the financial year. The table below provides details of awards made under contract to the Scottish Youth Parliament for the financial year 2024-25; final spend will be subject to relevant financial controls.
2024-25 Amount £ Title/ Description Children, Young People, Families, and Adult Learning Grant (fund administrator Corra) 341,250 Deliver objectives related to empowering young people/ the meaningful participation of young people. Mind Yer Time 40,000 To create new content relating to Digital Literacy and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in line with the needs of children and young people. Review Mind Yer Time content, making adaptations for a more inclusive and relatable site. Cabinet and Executive Team Meetings and The Right Way Training Programme 30,000 Deliver key outcomes associated to the UNCRC Implementation programme: Represent the voice of issues impacting young people through the calls to action brought to the annual Executive Team and Cabinet Takeovers. Though The Right Way training resource, maintain national guidance on how decision makers should be engaging with children and young people. Learning For Sustainability (LfS) 10,640 Learning for Sustainability Young People Leadership Group: to strengthen the voice and participation of young people in shaping the delivery of climate change and social justice- related education in Scotland; and to ensure that Scottish Government policy to embed LfS in the curriculum reflects the key priorities and insights of young people, supporting the achievement of the Scottish Government Target 2030 aim for all education settings to become "sustainable education settings" by the end of this decade. Horizon Scanning 4,999.68 To recruit and engage a group of young people to participate in the horizon scanning with young people project, which explores their perspectives and considerations of Scotland’s future. This includes supporting young people in taking part and co-designing the engagement. Additional responsibility for hosting, facilitating and planning logistics for the event and leading on ethics and safeguarding arrangements. Ending Conversion Practices Roundtable 1,500 To facilitate a roundtable discussion on the Scottish Government’s proposals for Ending Conversion Practices, and provide a report of the discussion. Note: This report was released as part of aprevious FOI and can be found here: Reports regarding Ending Conversion Practices consultation: FOI release - gov.scot Scottish Children's Reporter Administration (SCRA) SG provide funding on a monthly basis to SCRA for operational activities, and details of individual payments made to other organisations are not held by SG. Transitions to Adulthood for Disabled Young People 1,950 National Transitions to Adulthood Strategy Workshop at Scottish Youth Parliament Summer Sitting.
