Information requested
Information regarding “recent rumours suggesting that the Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH) may be closing down at the end of March”. You have requested: “Can you provide any clarity on the situation for and what steps will be taken to ensure that the work of the GCPH continues to benefit the people of Glasgow at time when the need for leadership in population health for one of the cities in the uk which needs it most?”

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because there have been no discussions regarding the closure of the Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH).
As such, I hereby provide you with formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
While we do not hold any information regarding closure of the GCPH, Scottish Government has an obligation under section 15 of FOISA to provide applicants with advice and assistance. Therefore, you may be interested to note the information enclosed in the Annex to this response.
