Information requested
Information on a 'conversion therapy helpline', which is being funded by the Scottish Government.
Specifically, you asked for any information on how much in funding Scottish Government has agreed to pay for this service and over what period, copies of any contracts/agreements with this group about the services and any estimates (if they are not included in the contract/agreement document) of how many phone calls that this service is expected to receive. You also requested what date this phone line was set up, how many calls it has received to date and the average length of these calls.
Response
LGBT Health and Wellbeing is in receipt of £75,525.00 for 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023 from Scottish Government for the delivery of support services for survivors and victims of conversion practices in Scotland, primarily through a helpline.
The grant offer letter provided to LGBT Health and Wellbeing regarding the Conversion Practices helpline is attached.
The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for regarding ‘any estimates, if they are not included in the contract/agreement document, of how many phone calls that this service is expected to receive’ because data is not held. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
