Low-cost Initiative for First Time Buyers (LIFT) shared equity schemes: FOI release
Information requested
How many first time buyers have successfully been supported by:
A) the Open Market Shared Equity scheme (OMSE), and
B) New Supply Shared Equity scheme (NSSE) scheme in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022.
You have also asked for the breakdown of how many first-time buyers have been successfully supported through each of the thirteen LIFT mortgage lenders in the most recent calendar years available (Bank of Scotland, Barclays Bank, Capital Credit Union, Halifax Building Society, Leeds Building Society, Lloyds Bank, Nationwide Building Society, Natwest Bank, Scottish Building Society, TSB Bank, and ScotWest Credit Union).

For your second question, the 13 mortgage lenders you list are only applicable to the OMSE scheme and that list is not exhaustive. There were other lenders used in the scheme however the below table outlines the number of first-time buyers who used one of the 13 lenders for their OMSE purchase:
