How much funding has been given to soil association and food for life in this year and the past 3 years? Will the funding be given to them next year? A list of what councils are part of the scheme.

Response

1. For this financial year and the past 3 financial years, the Scottish Government has provided the Soil Association a total of £1,770,000 in funding for the Food for Life programme. A breakdown of funding for the relevant financial years is as follows:

Financial Year Amount 2020/21 £400,000 2021/22 £400,000 2022/23 £480,000 2023/24 £490,000 Total £1,770,000

2. No decisions on future years funding have yet been taken

3. A list of councils participating in the Food for Life programme is publicly available on the Soil Association website and can be accessed via the following link:
