The answer to your first question is that since the Platform for Creative Excellence (PlaCE) Programme launched in financial year2018/19, the Scottish Government has contributed £1 million per year towards the fund, making a total of £4 million from the Scottish Government towards this fund by financial year 2021/22 in which September 7 2021 falls.

The answer to your second question is that the Scottish Government provided £1 million towards the Festivals’ Gateway fund which, alongside £300,000 from City of Edinburgh Council, created a total funding package of £1.3 million which was used to support some activity from the Edinburgh International Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2021.
