Guidance provided regarding Health and Wellbeing Census: FOI release
Information requested
You asked for a copy of the guidance/documentation issued to Scottish councils, education directors, and schools regarding the census, and any further instructions for councils/schools/directors//teachers in relation to children completing the census.
Response
I attach a copy of some of the information you requested. The letters to Directors of Education and documentation the Scottish Government has shared with local authorities is attached. The topics documentation shared with local authorities is available at Children's health and wellbeing census 21/22: FOI release - gov.scot (www.gov.scot) Annex B. The Scottish Government works with local authorities to support their own Health and Wellbeing Census collection. As such, whilst the Scottish Government has developed the attached materials, it is for local authorities to decide whether to use these materials, and if so, whether they adapt them to best meet local need. The Scottish government has not provided any material directly to schools or teachers - all materials are shared with the local authority only, for their use. Therefore I have not enclosed any information in relation to this part of your request.
