Response

I attach the information you requested in Annex A. The information provided in this response relates to payments recorded against budget lines relevant to ‘subsidies’ in terms of HM Treasury reporting categories. Please note that figures included in Annex A only cover subsidies paid directly by the Scottish Government. There will be additional elements paid by other public bodies or Local Government which are not captured in those figures. Also some of the farming subsidies to private sector includes individual recipients. You may find it useful to look into the Scottish Government Consolidated Accounts which do not report on subsidies to companies but they do provide some detailed information on specific support to certain companies given directly by Ministers (Available on Scottish Government consolidated accounts: annual report 2019 to 2020 - gov.scot (www.gov.scot) and The Scottish Government Consolidated Accounts - year ended 31 March 2021 - gov.scot (www.gov.scot)). Similarly, the annual accounts of those public bodies whose functions include providing support to business are also publicly available. About FOI
