COVID-19 first cases of Omicron transmission in Scotland: FOI release
Information requested
"The first six cases of Omicron in Scotland were linked to one single event according to the First Minister. Despite this she has failed to or is reluctant to identify what the event was and where it was. Other events where there was Omicron transmission and community transmission have been identified. Please provide me with details of the initial event with regard to where, and what the event was."

Due to their closer operational focus on contact tracing, you may wish to contact Public Health Scotland at PHS.FOI@phs.scot as they may hold more detailed information on the event. The information that the Scottish Government holds states that this event was a private 30th birthday celebration. The event took place within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board area. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.
