Evidence of engagement for organisations receiving equality intermediary body funding: FOI release
Information requested
With specific regard to the Scottish Government's 'Equality funding: national and intermediary bodies', what evidence does the Scottish Government require that organisations are engaging and consulting with the communities whose interests they claim to represent? Since 2007, how many intermediary bodies has the Government ceased to fund due to a failure to demonstrate that they are engaging and consulting with the communities whose interests it claims to represent?
Response
In response to your first request, the Scottish Government’s requirements for evidence from organisations receiving Equality funding are set out in the grant letters issued to each funding recipient. The letters contain the following wording: "the grantee shall keep the Scottish Ministers fully informed of the progress of the Project/Programme in the form of progress reports". The grant offer letter further notes that "the Grantee shall also provide any other information that the Scottish Ministers may reasonably require to satisfy themselves that the Project/Programme is consistent with the Agreement". In regard to your second request, we do not hold centralised records on why funding to organisations ceases. About FOI
