Debt Payment Programmes under the Debt Arrangement Scheme statistics: FOI release
Information requested
The following information for the period between 30th November 2020 and 30th November 2021: 1. How many Debt Payment Programmes were provided by agency under the Debt Arrangement Scheme? 2. How many Debt Payment Programmes were provided by agency under the Debt Arrangement Scheme nationally by Citizen Advice Bureaux? 3. How many Debt Payment Programmes were provided by agency under the Debt Arrangement Scheme nationally by Local Authority Services? 4. How many Certificates of Sequestration were signed by agency and of these, per agency, how many led to awards of sequestrations that were administered as Minimum Asset Bankruptcies and how many were administered as Full Administration Bankruptcies? 5. How many Trust Deeds were registered as Protected by Firm?
Response
I attach a copy of the information you requested in the Excel spreadsheet. The information provided is for the period 01 December 2020 and 30 September 2021 as information for the period 01 October 2021 onwards is not scheduled to be published until 26 January 2022. This is a specific exemption under Section 27(1) of FOISA and as a consequence we cannot release information which is scheduled for future publication. Please note that figures covering the period between 01 April 2021 and 30 September 2021 remain provisional until final validation in July 2022. It may be useful to note that AiB now publishes the number of debt solutions by organisation every quarter as part of the Official statistics release in the accompanying Excel tables.
