How much has been spent overall on 'Keep Scotland Beautiful'.

Since 2016, the Scottish Government has invested £53,684,072 in supporting Keep Scotland Beautiful through a range of environmental activities: Eco-schools £1,819,000; Eco-schools Food and Environment £199,000; Sustainable Scotland Network £1,096,934; Climate Ready Classrooms £411,537; My Beach Your Beach £237,965; Upstream Battle £30,000; Big Climate Conversation events £45,502; Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) £42,043,504; Climate Challenge Asset Fund (CCAF) £3,500,000; and CCF/CCAF management fees £4,300,630. Zero Waste Scotland made payments to Keep Scotland Beautiful totalling £434,000 between 1 July 2014 to 27 May 2015. Zero Waste Scotland then became a public authority directly funding Keep Scotland Beautiful. As a result, information cannot be provided on payments made by Zero Waste Scotland after 27 May 2015. Under the terms of the exception at regulation 10(4)(a) of the EIRs (information not held), the Scottish Government is not required to provide information which it does not have. The Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested because Zero Waste Scotland has the information you are looking for. This exception is subject to the 'public interest test'. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exception. We have found that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exception. While we recognise that there may be some public interest in information about Keep Scotland Beautiful, clearly we cannot provide information which we do not hold.
