Review of Purpose Built Student Accommodation: FOI release
Information requested
Any report or analysis covering the results and responses to the small-scale scoping survey undertaken by the Scottish Government with accommodation regulators and providers as part of the Government's review of purpose built student accommodation in Scotland.

The information you have requested is attached separately (Document 1).
The scoping survey report has been shared in its current form with stakeholders and has helped shape the parameters of the review of Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), which is currently underway. We originally intended to formally publish this report next year alongside outputs from the PBSA review, however we are now planning to publish the report as a standalone piece before the end of 2021.
Prior to publication we will remove Table 10, as there appears to have been an error in the way the survey question was asked. We will also add a note to Tables 1, 11 and 12 to explain that respondents could choose more than one response.
The following caveats will also be included in the published version:
the low sample size achieved for the scoping survey should be noted; results from this study should be considered indicative only and cannot be generalised to thewider population or sector; the quantitative findings in particular should be treated with caution and as such have been reported using numbers rather than percentages.
