Funding allocated for additional duties for Child and Adult Disability payment: FOI release
Information requested
Amount of funding being provided to each local authority in Scotland for additional resources required to undertake Front Door Team duties for the new Child Disability Payments and Adult Disability Payments process. You subsequently clarified your request for the amount of funding paid to Dundee City Council, Fife Council and Edinburgh City Council.

The answer to your question is given below and I have presented this separately for each benefit. Child Disability Payment Funding to support the Front Door Process in Local Authorities for the Child Disability Payment has been agreed between Scottish Government and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) and was signed off at the COSLA leaders meeting on 29 October 2021. This funding is from December 2021 – March 2022 and the full 2022/23 financial year, covering costs associated with the introduction of the Child Disability Payment. Organisations who supported the Child Disability Payment pilot, from 26 July – 22 November 2021, also received additional set up funding for this period. The table below shows the agreed funding allocations for Dundee City Council. Edinburgh City Council and Fife Council.

Adult Disability Payment Additional funding to support the Front Door process in relation to Adult Disability Payment has not yet been confirmed, therefore we are unable to provide this information. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested in respect of Adult Disability Payment, as explained above.
