Salmon and Sea Trout catch data: EIR Appeal
Information requested
Whether Scottish Ministers (the Ministers) complied with the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (the EIRs) in dealing with his request for 2019 Salmon/Sea Trout catch data.
Response
Please find attached the 1952-2019 time series of salmon and sea trout catch data. In line with the Scottish Information Commissioner’s Decision 130/2021, this includes “catch data for salmon and sea trout for all 109 fishery districts in Scotland for the year 2019” as originally requested. The previously unreleased data have been highlighted. Fully updated data, including the 2020 and 2021 seasons and any late returns for earlier years, will be released at District-level as part of the next Official Statistics publication.
