Information relating to Social Security Scotland A3 roles: FOI release

In relation to the roles for Social Security Scotland client adviser in both Glasgow and Dundee offices:
1. How many A3 roles were available in the most recent recruitment drive 2021? 2. How many temporary Pertemp staff applied for the A3 roles? 3. How many of the Pertemp staff were successful in gaining a permanent role? 4. How many Pertemp staff are on the waiting list?
Response
We have interpreted your request to be referring to individuals employed by Pertemps who are currently assigned to Social Security Scotland and to the following campaigns for Client Advisors - IRC86303 (Glasgow) and IRC87497 (Dundee).
The questions refer to live recruitment campaigns where the offer process is on-going. The information is correct as at 20 August 2021.
Candidates who are successful at interview are offered posts in merit order with those performing best being offered roles first.
Glasgow Campaign - IRC86303 Dundee Campaign - IRC87497 1. How many Client Advisor A3 roles were available in most recent recruitment campaign? 154 131 2. How many temporary Pertemp staff applied for the roles? 89 44 3. How many Pertemp staff were successful in gaining a permanent role? Offers have been made to 29 Pertemps staff to date. A further 9 Pertemps staff are currently on a reserve list. Offers have been made to 5 Pertemps staff to date. A further 13 Pertemps staff are currently on a reserve list. 4. How many Pertemp staff are on waiting list? 9 Pertemps staff are currently on a reserve list. It is anticipated that all candidates on reserve list will be offered permanent posts, subject to pre- employment checks, within the 9 month reserve period. 13 Pertemps staff are currently on a reserve list. It is anticipated that all candidates on reserve list will be offered permanent posts, subject to pre- employment checks, within the 9 month reserve period
