Information requested

Please supply the government's file on this complaint. This is to include internal and external correspondence by letter/memo/email, any reports, any requests for information sent to ACC and/or Sustrans, and any responses received. Sight of any first or subsequent responses to the complaint should be included as well. This should all be in one place, filed with our complaint. Given the scant detail in your reply, I expect this can be accomplished swiftly and affordably - just send electronic files. Should government claim the paperwork is too extensive, then please supply a list of what documentation was used to create your reply so we may select what we wish to see.

Response

I have included a copy of the requested information Annex A. On reviewing the email exchanges, some exemptions have been applied in line with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. The exemptions applied in this instance were:

Section 30(b)(ii) – Free and frank provision of advice and exchange of views for the purposes of deliberation.

This exemption has been applied to information which relates to Scottish Government employees, such as: Full names of SG employees, internal email addresses, internal contact numbers. A ‘public interest test’ was completed to decide whether the redacted information should be released. As the redacted information contains personal information relating to Scottish Government employees, which doesn’t add or subtract any significance in relation to the material provided in answering the original request, it was concluded that the exemption would be upheld and the information would not be disclosed. About FOI The Scottish Government is committed to publishing all information released in response to Freedom of Information requests. View all FOI responses at http://www.gov.scot/foi-responses.
