COVID 19 Public attitudes research: FOI release
Information requested
Details of
1) any polling conducted by the Scottish Government regarding coronavirus including (but not limited to) since March 2021
2) the names of suppliers of the polling and
3) the cost of each poll.
4) Copies of results of such polls including full data tables provided by suppliers.

1. Public attitudes research on Coronavirus.
Seventeen surveys were commissioned from YouGov, and the costs are as follows:

2. Transport Scotland – COVID-19 Public Attitudes Survey Transport Scotland commissioned 5 waves of survey research about attitudes to public transport (waves 14-18 of the Transport Scotland COVID-19 Public Attitudes Survey). This work was carried out by AECOM and the 5 waves of research since march (waves 14-18) cost £45,592.85 (£9118.57 per wave) excl. VAT

3. Research into wellbeing One wave of telephone research was undertaken in March 2021 by Ipsos Mori Scotland. This wave of research (wave 3) was commissioned under a contract for two waves of research (Waves 2 and 3 of this study), and cost £70,000 excl VAT for the two waves of research.

4. Climate Change research Research carried out on 15th-23rd March about attitudes towards climate change included a reference to COVID-19 in one of the questions. The survey was carried out by JRS and we are not able to provide broken down cost for a bigger survey that was designed to look at other things. The information from the question has not been previously published, but is attached.
