Information requested

Please detail all above the line advertising spend by the Scottish government in 2020. Please note, I do not need the Media spend, I would like to see how much was spend on developing and producing advertising via external agencies (including advertising agencies, PR agencies, digital agencies and content agencies) in this period and broken down by specific marketing agency type as highlighted above. Please also provide comparative spend as per above for 2019.

Please see link to the 19/20 marketing spend published on Scottish Government website - Marketing spend: 2019 to 2020 - gov.scot (www.gov.scot) Please find below spend for Advertising (not including Media), Digital, PR and Research from 01 April 2020 to 22 February 2021 (the date of your request): Advertising - £2,592,991.99 Digital - £163,918.11 PR - £407,975.00 Research - £255,525.63 For awareness the Scottish Government reconciles its finances by the financial year April to March each year.
