Information requested

I have now completed my review of our response to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) for review of the answer given to question number 4: ‘Whether The Hague Service Convention of 1965 is the ONLY method of service of legal documents originating from Scottish Courts to be served upon a resident of India'

Response

I have concluded that the original decision should be confirmed, with the following modifications: In addition to the information provided the answer should have made it clear that service of documents, originating from Scottish Courts, upon a resident of India are only dealt with under 'The Hague Convention on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters' as India is a contracting party to the convention.
