Information requested

I am trying to find the combined number of people entering or leaving Great Britain by sea (via Cairn Ryan) and the number of people entering or leaving the United Kingdom, or travelling within the United Kingdom by aircraft. Please could you provide the following information - the number of people transiting Scottish ports (airports and seaports) in 2017, 2018 and 2019

Response

Information about airport and ferry statistics can be found in chapters 8 and 9 of our publication Scottish Transport Statistics https://bit.ly/2M5T6vn In particular tables 9.13a and 9.13b provide statistics for Cairnryan and Rosyth-Zeebrugge.

Table 8.6 in the publication gives statistics on domestic and international flights (previous versions of the publication can be found here https://bit.ly/2YnaEWa and here https://bit.ly/36pYWhX)

An update of the publication with figures for 2019 is due to be published on 24 February 2021 and will be available here https://www.transport.gov.scot/our-approach/statistics#42763
