The total number of administrative assistants working for the Civil Service Education Department in 1980s to 1990s.
And please can you provide the information only for St Andrews House building which is no longer in existence but has been replaced.

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.
The answer to your question is there were 136 administrative assistants working for the Education Department between 1980 and 1999 inclusive in our records. Of those, two worked in St Andrew's House, 65 didn't work in St Andrew's House, and there were 69 staff whose office location could not be identified.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The office location of staff prior to 1994 is not held, so we cannot say how many of the 69 staff whose office location could not be identified worked in St Andrew's House during this period.
