Information requested
1. The total number of applications made to the Tenant Hardship Loan Fund. 2. The total number of successful applicants to the Tenant Hardship Loan Fund. 3. The total Scottish Government funding that has been given to applicants through the Tenant Hardship Loan Fund. 4. The average amount of funding given per successful applicant of the Loan Fund.
Response
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reasons why we don't have the information are explained below/in the Annex.
1. The total number of applications made to the Tenant Hardship Loan Fund - As of 9th December the total is 86. 2. The total number of successful applicants to the Tenant Hardship Loan Fund - We do not yet have this data. 3. The total Scottish Government funding that has been given to applicants through the Tenant Hardship Loan Fund - We do not yet have this data. 4. The average amount of funding given per successful applicant of the Loan Fund - We do not yet have this data.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information outlined above that you have requested. The Tenant Hardship Loan Fund opened on 7 December 2020. As of 9 December 86 applications to the loan fund have been submitted. These will be processed in due course, thus there is not yet any successful applications. No total amount awarded or average amount of funding can therefore be provided.
