Response

A. How many Debtor Contribution Orders have been awarded, by calendar year, in the period 01 January 2015 to 31 December 2019.

The number of Debtor Contribution Orders (DCOs) set for creditor petition and full administration cases is shown in the following table.

Please note that the total number of DCOs presented here is lower than the number of creditor petitions and full administrations reported in the official, quarterly Scottish Insolvency Statistics publication. These figures are based on data extracted from live database at a different point in time. The quarterly statistics are the definitive source Also note that the data for the calendar year 2015 is limited and therefore is excluded from the table below.

(1) Based on available data for creditor petitions and full administrations. The total number of DCOs presented here is lower than the number of creditor petitions and full administrations reported in the official, quarterly Scottish Insolvency Statistics publication. These figures are based on data extracted from live database at a different point in time. The quarterly statistics are the definitive source.

(2) Note some cases do include at least one variation of DCO. However, figures are based on the number of original DCOs set only.

(3) Including DCOs which are set at more than £0.

(4) The "completed" outcome of DCOs is based on the successful discharge of both debtor and trustee. Else, the outcome would be "ongoing".

B. How many Debt Arrangement Schemes were entered into, by year, in the period 01 January 2015 to 31 December 2019.

The number of Debt Payment Programmes (DPPs) under the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS) by the calendar year of approval date and the outcome status is shown in the following table:
