3. Any correspondence sent or received by Jenny Gilruth from LGBT Youth Scotland on the Government’s ‘Supporting Transgender Pupils in Schools Guidance for Education Authorities and Schools’ and its revision since April 2025.

In relation to information provided for parts 1 and 2, an exemption(s) under section(s) s.38(1) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. This relates to the personal information of third parties. Their information has been redacted accordingly.

This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.

In relation to part 3 of your request, the Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because there has not been correspondence with LGBT Youth Scotland in relation to the the Government’s ‘Supporting Transgender Pupils in Schools Guidance for Education Authorities and Schools’ and its revision since April 2025. As such, I hereby provide you with formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
