Information requested

All documentation held by the Scottish Government about this speech [the First Minister’s child poverty speech on Wednesday 24 September], including correspondence sent and received (including internal), minutes/notes from meetings, briefings, analysis, from the last 30 days.

Response

This request has been interpreted as being specifically for documentation relating to the preparation and delivery of the First Minister’s speech at the Whole Family Support Event on Wednesday 24 September. I enclose a copy of the information you requested that we are able to provide. This includes a video of the final speech as delivered by the First Minister at the event. Correspondence relating to the development of the First Minister’s speech for the event is also included. Please note, due to the file size of the video a separate link via a system called Objective Connect will be sent to your email address. You can access and download the video file from there.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under the following sections of FOISA apply to that information: s.30(b)(i) (free and frank provision of advice), s.30(b)(ii) (free and frank exchange of views), s.38(1)(a) (personal data relating to applicant) and s.38(1)(b) (personal data relating to third party). The reasons why those exemptions apply are explained in the Annex to this letter.
