Information requested

You are researching flood prevention schemes constructed in Scotland in the last five years.

You asked for a list of Government and local authority funded flood prevention schemes with an approximate value.

Response

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested. The list covers formal flood protection schemes completed in the previous five years.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have all of the information you have requested. Under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009, flood protection schemes can now proceed without formal approval from Scottish Ministers so there may be other schemes that have been taken forward and completed by local authorities which the Scottish Government does not hold information about.
