Each year, the Scottish Government provides funding to NHS Boards to deliver adult and child healthy weight interventions.
A breakdown of Board allocations in 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 is provided in the table below.

The 2016-17 Budget introduced the Outcomes Framework, a single source of funding to NHS Boards for strategic priorities focussed on prevention and reducing health inequalities - including adult and child healthy weight. This has provided local flexibility on how best to deploy this resource to achieve clearly defined outcomes. Since inception, £3 million healthy weight funding has been transferred to the Framework annually, up to and including 2018-19.
A breakdown of notional allocations to deliver healthy weight outcomes is provided in the table in the attached document.
In addition, since 2018-19 NHS Boards have received additional funding to deliver the Type 2 Diabetes Early Detection, Early Intervention and the Prevention Framework. This funding is used for service redesign and delivery to improve weight management support for those with, or at risk of, type 2 diabetes.
