Breakdown of Social Security Directorate temporary employees: FOI release
Information requested
Under FOISA, with regard to contingent workers in the Programme Management and Delivery and Chief Digital Officer divisions of the Social Security Directorate, please provide the total number of contingent workers in those divisions.
Please also provide number of contingent workers -
on a day-rate salary of less than £499; on a day-rate salary of less £501 to £999; or on a day-rate salary of less £1000 or more

The number of contingent workers within Programme Management & Delivery and Chief Digital Officer divisions as at 7 October 2019 is:

You requested information about “contingent workers”. “Contingent workers” is defined within SS Directorate as individuals working with us on a temporary basis via the interim framework contract, recruitment contract or temporary framework.
The way your request was worded would have omitted contractors on day rates of exactly £500. I have, however, provided figures for the band £500 to £999, rather than £501 - £999. I am happy to provide alternative breakdown if this does not meet your requirements.
