Information requested

You asked for all correspondence between the Scottish Government and the SPFL since 1st January 2017, including correspondence preceding and subsequent to the letter of the 29th of June 2017 from Michael Matheson to Neil Doncaster.

I attach an email and two letters which fall within scope of your request.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemptions under the following sections of FOISA apply to that information

s.30(c) (substantial prejudice to the effective conduct of public affairs) s.36(2) (actionable breach of confidence) s.38(1)(b) (personal information)

The reasons why those exemptions apply are explained in the Annex to this letter.
