Scottish Government vehicle fleet information: FOI release
Information requested
Information regarding vehicles currently owned, leased, or operated by the Scottish Government.
For each vehicle, I would be grateful if you could provide the following details:
Make and model Colour First registration date with the DVLA MOT issue date or expiry date Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM)
If possible, please provide this information in a spreadsheet or table format, such as Excel or CSV.
If any part of this request is considered exempt from disclosure, I would be grateful if you could provide the remaining information and explain the reasons for any exemptions applied.

I enclose a copy of most of the information you have requested.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because of an exemption under section 39(1) (Endangerment to health or safety) of FOISA applies to that information. The reason why this exemption applies is explained below.
Exemption 39(1) applies to the information you have requested regarding vehicle registration marks for all vehicles currently owned, leased or operated by the Scottish Government. Disclosure of this information would, or would likely to, endanger the physical or mental health or the safety of an individual.
This exemption is subject to the 'public interest test'. Therefore, taking account of all the circumstances of this case, we have considered if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. We have found that, on balance, the public interest lies in favour of upholding the exemption, since disclosing vehicle registration marks of all vehicles currently owned, leased or operated by the Scottish Government would or would likely to, endanger the physical or mental health of the safety of an individual while driving at work.
