User issues evaluation of the student placement management system: FOI release
Information requested
The “user issues” evaluation of the student placement management system and the findings from the evaluation of the general teacher recruitment campaign.
Response
With regard to the report, “An Evaluation of the Student Placement System” which you requested, this is available from the General Teaching Council for Scotland website at the following link http://in2teaching.org.uk/Students/student-placement-system.aspx . Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you.
I am also enclosing an additional paper that went to the Strategic Board for Teacher Education on 11 December that outlines the actions to be taken following consideration of the report “An Evaluation of the Student Placement System”. The Board agreed this paper and will monitor progress. The only redaction to this paper is in regard to personal data relating to a third party.
You also asked for the evaluation of the general teacher recruitment campaign. This information is already available as part of the answer on 20 December 2018 to FOI/18/03499 and is available from the following link https://www.gov.scot/publications/foi-18-03499/ .
