Response
We have interpreted your request as referring to the First Minister’s attendance at the Prosper Annual Forum on 29 May 2025. In response, I have attached all documentation held by the Scottish Government in relation to this event that falls within the scope of your request. Some information has been redacted, and the following exemptions have been applied:
Section 38(1)(b) – Personal data
Names and contact details of junior officials and external individuals have been withheld, along with direct phone numbers, email addresses, and delegate lists. Disclosure would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the UK GDPR.
Section 30(b)(i) and 30(b)(ii) – Free and frank provision of advice and exchange of views
Internal advice to Ministers, including draft Q&A lines, has been withheld as disclosure would be likely to inhibit officials from providing full and frank policy advice in future.
Section 33(1)(b) – Commercial interests
Specific information relating to sponsorship arrangements and internal budget commentary has been withheld, as release would, or would be likely to, prejudice the commercial interests of the Scottish Government and/or third parties.
Section 25(1) – Information otherwise accessible
