Justice Directorate: organisation chart: FOI release
Information requested
A copy of the Justice Directorate organisation chart covering all divisions and teams identifying heads for each section by name. I also request summaries of responsibilities at each level. I also require the link to the Scottish Government website that identifies all staff.
Response
I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested. I have included a copy of the Justice Directorate organogram detailing the divisions and teams.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to some of the information requested. This exemption applies because it is personal data of third parties, in this case personal data of justice directorate staff below the grade of senior civil service, and disclosing it would contravene Article 21 of the GDPR 2018.
This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test' so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
Reasons for not providing information
With regard to your request for a link to the Scottish Government website that identifies all staff the Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because the Scottish Government website does not identify all staff on its website.
