The total number of prosecutions and convictions under The Human Trafficking and Exploitation Act, 2015.

Response

Our records show there were no prosecutions for the financial years 2015-16 and 2016-17.

Information relating to the financial year 2017-18 will not be available until early 2019. Please note that our database contains information on criminal proceedings that have been concluded in Scottish courts. I would suggest you contact the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service who may be able to provide information from their live case system.

The Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy Annual Progress Report was published on 14 June 2018. The report includes measures that the Scottish Government has said it will use to measure progress on an annual basis.
