1. The numbers recorded as having prematurely retired in the interest of efficiency of the service by Health Board, including Special Health Boards from 2010 - 2016.

2. Information to be categorised by broad salary bands, or whatever is most appropriate to minimise disclosure.

3. Average length of service.

1. The numbers recorded as having prematurely retired in the interest of efficiency of the service by Health Board, including Special Health Boards from 2010 - 2016. The number of those who prematurely retired in the interests of efficiency across the below mentioned Health Boards from 2010-16 is 37.

We do endeavour to provide information whenever possible. However, in this instance an exemption under section 38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to some of the information requested.

This exemption applies because it may be possible to identify individuals if we broke down the information by Health Board due to low numbers. We have therefore provided a list of the Health Boards where there were Premature retirements in the interest of efficiency for the period requested.

This protects us from contravening the Data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998.
