Information requested

You asked for correspondence between the Scottish Government Rural Payments and Inspections Division (SGRPID) and Fergus Ewing MSP regarding changes to the budget allocations within the Scottish Rural Development Programme for 2017 and correspondence between the SGRPID and Fergus Ewing MSP in relation to answers to the parliamentary questions submitted by Peter Chapman MSP (Questions S5W-11122 and S5W-11121).

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption(s) under section s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information, which is the personal and contact information of certain staff. This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.

The correspondence between the SGRPID and Fergus Ewing MSP in relation to answers to the parliamentary questions submitted by Peter Chapman MSP (Questions S5W-11122 and S5W-11121) are attached.

There was no correspondence between the SGRPID and Fergus Ewing MSP regarding changes to the budget allocations within the Scottish Rural Development Programme for 2017. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
