Correspondence between Scottish Government and Atos Healthcare: FOI release
Information requested
Correspondence the Social Security Directorate (including ministers and/or officials) has received from 'Atos Healthcare' since 27 March 2017.
Response
In addition and as part of this request, I have enclosed the following documents:
Letter from Jean Fleming, Chief Executive PIP, dated 7 April 2017 to Scottish Government dated 7 April 2017. PowerPoint Presentation dated 5 April 2017 which provided an overview of PIP on SG visit to Atos on 7 April 2017.
As you will note, certain information has been redacted within the letter of 7 April 2017. This is because an exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to some of the information requested because it is personal data of a third party, (i.e the names and contact details of individuals), and disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998. This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
