Scottish Government staff pay award information: FOI release

You asked some follow-up questions to FOI 202600509034 for:
The response stated that "the majority of awards were processed in December with the remainder expected to be paid by March 2026." Can the Scottish Government confirm whether the former staff with outstanding backdated pay due to them - which in accordance with the response to question 1 seems to be 569 - did in fact receive their awards by the end of the 2025/26 financial year?
The response stated that "we have communicated with former employees who reached out regarding the pay award." Does this mean that the Scottish Government has not taken any proactive action to inform former staff of the outstanding backdated pay due to them and, if so, how does this align with the response that all awards were expected to be paid by March 2026?
Response
With the exception of 16 individuals, all other eligible former members of staff received their backdated pay award by the end of the 2025/26 financial year. Of those outstanding 15 received their backdated pay award at the end of April 2026.
A single former employee has not yet received their backdated pay award as of 1st May. The Scottish Government is actively working to resolve this, and the individual has been contacted with an estimated resolution date.
It is not standard procedure to initiate contact with individuals who have left Scottish Government employment, as we are unable to verify personal contact information once employment has ended.
