Information requested

1) The number of retired male police officers who were receiving a pension from the SPPA as at 1st January 2024. (Please do not include those in receipt of a widowers pension).

2) The number of these retired officers who died between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024.

3) The average age of these officers who died between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024.

Response

1) The total number of male Police Officers in receipt of SPPA pension as at 1 January 2024 were 6,626.

2) The number of deceased retired Officers between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2024 were 309.

3) The average age of Officers who died between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024 was 80.07 Years.
