Information relating to the recruitment of the advertised position of Client Support Advisor at Social Security Scotland (Ref: 1266).
Request for information 1: The total number of applications received for the role.
Request for information 2: The number of applicants who passed the initial sift/shortlisting stage.
Request for information 3: The number of candidates invited to interview.
Request for information 4: The number of candidates who attended interview.
Request for information 5: The number of candidates placed on any reserve list, if applicable.
Request for information 6: Whether the role was successfully filled, and if so whether the successful candidate was internal or external.
Request for information 7: The composition of the interview panel by job title or grade.
Request for information 8: The scoring method used at sift and interview (for example competency scoring matrices or weighting used).
Response
Request for information 1: 253 applications were received for the role.
Request for information 2: 16 applicants passed the sift.
Request for information 3: 16 candidates were invited to interview.
Request for information 4: 16 candidates attended the interview.
Request for information 5: 7 candidates were placed on reserve list.
Request for information 6: The posts were successfully filled by one external candidate and one candidate from another government department. A further offer was then made from the reserve list, where the post was filled by an external candidate.
Request for information 7: The interview panel for the B1 post consisted of one B2 and two B3 grades.
