Information relating to engagement between Scottish Government and Palantir Technologies: FOI release
Information requested
1. Whether the Scottish Government has ever entered into any contractual or commercial arrangements with Palantir Technologies. If so, please provide details including dates, purpose, and value.
2. Please provide any recorded information held relating to any contact or engagement between the Scottish Government and Palantir Technologies, including but not limited to: a) meetings (including dates, attendees, and agendas where held); b) correspondence (including emails, letters, or messages); c) presentations, briefings, or demonstrations; d) discussions relating to potential or proposed contracts, collaborations, or partnerships.
3. Please provide any recorded information held by the Scottish Government that refers to, evidences, or discusses any statement, position, or assurance that the Scottish Government would not enter into contractual or commercial arrangements with Palantir Technologies. This should include internal and external correspondence, briefings, or policy documents.
4. Whether the Scottish Government holds any recorded information regarding contractual or commercial arrangements between Palantir Technologies and any Scottish local authority. If such information is held, please provide it, including: a) details of any such arrangements; b) correspondence between the Scottish Government and local authorities relating to Palantir Technologies; c) any records demonstrating awareness, oversight, guidance, or involvement by the Scottish Government in such arrangements.
5. Please provide any recorded information held relating more broadly to: a) consideration of entering into contractual or commercial arrangements with Palantir Technologies; b) any policy position, internal guidance, risk assessment, or briefing concerning engagement with Palantir Technologies (including in relation to Scottish local authorities).

Response
We have searched the Scottish Government Contracts Register (which records all contracts over £5,000) and can confirm that no contracts have been awarded by the Scottish Government to Palantir Technologies.
